Curatorial Ethos

The programme focuses on emerging and mid-career artists with diverse voices, presenting debut solo shows and focused presentations. HESSE FLATOW engages viewers through public programming including artist conversations, performances, and food-related events to broaden audience access.

HESSE FLATOW is a commercial gallery and curatorial platform founded by artist Karen Hesse Flatow in 2019, operating out of an accessible ground-floor space in Tribeca, New York. The gallery maintains a second location, HESSE FLATOW EAST, in Amagansett, Long Island, which hosts seasonal exhibitions and a residency program. Since its inception, the venue has presented over 100 shows and received critical coverage in major publications such as Art in America, The New York Times, and Hyperallergic.
