Andrew Edlin Gallery — gallery cover

Curatorial Ethos

The gallery is committed to documentation and research, producing publications and monographs for its represented artists while curating critically acclaimed exhibitions featuring works by both trained and untrained creators. Its programme focuses on self-taught art, outsider art, and art brut, often highlighting visionary or historically overlooked figures through scholarly engagement and dedicated publishing efforts.

Established in 2001 and located at 392 Broadway in New York, Andrew Edlin Gallery is a commercial gallery representing both emerging and seminal self-taught American artists as well as European art brut masters. The gallery gained early recognition for its exclusive representation of the Henry Darger Estate from 2006 to 2011 and has since championed significant yet under-recognized artists from the 20th and 21st centuries. It is a member of the Art Dealers Association of America and actively participates in major international art fairs including Art Basel, Frieze, and the Outsider Art Fair.
