Curatorial Ethos
The space operates as a multidisciplinary cultural hub dedicated to nurturing Bahraini youth and facilitating cross-disciplinary collaborations among artists, writers, musicians, and designers. Its programme prioritizes community-driven exhibitions, educational workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives that foster local creative ecosystems and regional cultural dialogue.
Bait Al Salmaniya is a creative community and cultural space housed in a historic 1968 villa in Manama, Bahrain. Founded by Elham Fakhro, the venue operates as an open platform that hosts exhibitions, workshops, and collaborative programming for artists, writers, musicians, and designers. Originally converted into a private gallery in 2008 before its recent transformation, it now provides a co-working environment and event booking facility dedicated to nurturing local talent and fostering regional cultural exchange.
