Cruce Arte y Pensamiento

Curatorial Ethos

The project operates as a platform for contemporary thought and artistic creation, fostering dialogue between artists, authors, and theorists through its 'Contemporary Thought Group' and diverse programming. It emphasizes critical inquiry and interdisciplinary exchange, supported by competitive grants for independent contemporary artistic creation spaces.

Cruce Arte y Pensamiento is an independent non-profit laboratory located at Calle Doctor Fourquet 5 in Madrid, Spain, situated behind the Reina Sofía Museum. Operating since 1994, it functions as a multidisciplinary space for contemporary art and critical theory, hosting exhibitions, performances, and intellectual debates. The venue maintains regular opening hours for exhibitions (Tuesday–Friday 17:00–20:00, Saturdays 11:00–14:00) while remaining closed to general public access during August except for residency activities.
