Curatorial Ethos
The programme focuses on concept-led, multidisciplinary, and multi-media practices, with diversity and sustainability as key priorities. Copperfield retains its founding principle to prioritize curatorial decisions over commercial ones, supporting both solo shows and collaborative international projects.
Copperfield is a commercial gallery located in an architecturally re-purposed former church building at 6 Copperfield Street, London SE1 0EP, just south of Tate Modern. Founded by William Lunn as a curatorial project in 2014 and established as a fully fledged commercial gallery in 2018, it operates with Andrea P. Maffioli as partner since 2022. The gallery engages with emerging and established artists through concept-led, multidisciplinary, and multi-media practices, maintaining a founding principle to put curatorial decisions first.
