The venue functions as an independent platform dedicated to supporting artist groups by enabling both the production and exhibition of their works within a historic architectural context.
Barın Han is an independent art space located in Istanbul, Turkey, housed in a building that previously served as the workshop and bookbinding studio of renowned calligraphy artist Prof. Emin Barın. After remaining vacant for seventeen years following the departure of the press sector from the city center, the venue reopened in 2019 as a multi-floor project space. It provides facilities for artist groups to produce work and exhibit their pieces, operating with regular visiting hours from Tuesday to Sunday.
