Curatorial Ethos
The gallery seeks to empower and develop artists by accompanying them throughout their careers via solo and group exhibitions, as well as versatile projects and cooperations with institutions abroad and in Turkey. Ambidexter aims to push boundaries and expand the vision of what an art gallery can be, treating each exhibition as its own world.
Ambidexter Gallery is a commercial art gallery located in Karaköy, Istanbul, founded in 2016 by Ulaş Parkan and christened in 2018. The gallery maintains a strong focus on contemporary painterly practices while also presenting artists working in sculpture, photography, and other media. It operates with the intention to reflect and question the current art ecosystem through its program of national and international artists.
