Loft Art Gallery — gallery cover

Curatorial Ethos

Reflecting the gallery’s mission to champion Moroccan, Arab, and African artistic heritage while fostering global dialogue, the curatorial programme highlights artists who expand traditional boundaries across painting, photography, and craft. Projects frequently examine identity, displacement, and cultural exchange, situating distinct African geographies and generational perspectives within broader contemporary conversations.

Founded in Casablanca in 2009 by Myriem and Yasmine Berrada Sounni, Loft Art Gallery operates spaces in Casablanca and Marrakech, Morocco. The gallery presents solo and group exhibitions that showcase Moroccan, Arab, and African artists working across painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed media. It maintains an active international schedule, participating annually in major contemporary art fairs across four continents.
