Positioned at the intersection of art, technology, and politics, NOME critically examines contemporary and historical narratives shaped by systems of power, representation, and technological influence. The gallery showcases works addressing urgent global issues, including surveillance, data privacy, and ethnographic explorations of Indigenous and Black counter-narratives across digital, performance, and time-based media.
NOME is a contemporary commercial art gallery located at Potsdamer Straße 72 in Berlin, founded by Luca Barbeni in 2015. The gallery represents emerging and mid-career international artists whose practices engage with activism, archival work, and indigenous counter-narratives. NOME presents a diverse program of exhibitions, concerts, talks, and editorial activities, while its artists regularly participate in significant institutional exhibitions and biennials.
