Curatorial Ethos

The gallery’s program is characterized by interdisciplinary, concept-driven approaches that encompass sculpture, painting, video, installation, printmaking, photography, and performance. It focuses on younger generations of artists while maintaining a dynamic platform for contemporary art in Berlin and beyond.

KÖNIG GALERIE is a commercial gallery founded in 2002 with its flagship space located at the former St. Agnes church in Berlin-Kreuzberg, which opened in 2015. The gallery also operates a branch in Seoul and has established pop-up spaces in cities including London, Vienna, Tokyo, and Mexico City. It specializes in showcasing emerging and established international artists across various media, with works held in major collections such as MoMA and the Guggenheim.
