Galerie Brockstedt — gallery cover

Curatorial Ethos

The gallery maintains a dual programme focusing on contemporary art alongside classical modernist works from the 1920s and '30s, representing artists ranging from historical figures like Otto Dix to current practitioners such as Tino Geiss. It operates as a commercial entity providing full services including art advisory, collection management, and publishing accompanying exhibition catalogues.

Galerie Brockstedt is a family-owned contemporary and classical modern art gallery located at Mommsenstraße 59 in Berlin-Charlottenburg. Founded by Hans Brockstedt in Hanover in 1957, the gallery established its Berlin branch in 1992 under the direction of his son, Boris Brockstedt. Following the closure of the Hamburg location in 2021, the Berlin site serves as the sole remaining venue for the enterprise.
