Curatorial Ethos
The gallery's programme blends emerging and established talent, presenting idiosyncratic art from around the world with a focus on innovation and cultural dialogue. It serves as a vital platform for both local Berlin talent and major international figures in the contemporary art scene.
Contemporary Fine Arts (CFA) is a commercial gallery founded in Berlin in 1992, currently operating from a Chipperfield-designed building near Museum Island and a location in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. The gallery presents rotating exhibitions of prominent international contemporary artists, including Cecily Brown, Sarah Lucas, and Georg Baselitz. In 2023, CFA expanded its operations by opening a second space in Basel, Switzerland.
