Curatorial Ethos
The gallery serves as a platform for a generation questioning history, identity construction, socio-political boundaries, and unwritten social norms within MENA societies. It aims to reflect contemporary regional aspirations in dialogue with global issues, providing a space for committed and poetic expression that transcends borders.
no/mad utopia is a contemporary art gallery based in Beirut, Lebanon, launched in January 2022 by founder Marie-Mathilde Jaber. Operating as a nomadic platform without permanent physical walls, it promotes emerging and mid-career artists from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region through exhibitions and international art fairs. The gallery maintains a presence in Gemmayzeh, Beirut, and regularly participates in global events such as ST-ART Strasbourg and Menart Fair Paris.
