Warin Lab Contemporary — gallery cover

Curatorial Ethos

The gallery’s curatorial ethos centres on dedicating each annual programme to a single vital social issue, currently exploring environmental and sustainability challenges through diverse artistic perspectives. By situating itself in the former home of a pioneering Thai wildlife conservationist, Warin Lab Contemporary uses leading-edge exhibitions and educational programming to provoke thought, expand public understanding, and stimulate meaningful social change.

Warin Lab Contemporary is a commercial contemporary art gallery housed in a historic 100-year-old building in Bangkok, founded in 2021 by art business veteran Sukontip Fon Nakasem. The space dedicates its annual programme to a single pressing social issue, currently focusing on environmental and sustainability themes. It presents exhibitions by local and international artists while supporting broader public engagement through workshops, panel discussions, and artist talks. As a commercial entity, the gallery also manages sales and international shipping for featured artworks.
