The Charoen AArt — gallery cover

Curatorial Ethos

The gallery aims to connect people through art rooted in lived experience, prioritizing authenticity, culture, and creativity while respecting history and remaining open to new ways of working. Projects develop through close conversation with artists, focusing on how the work is experienced within the specific spatial context rather than simply displayed.

The Charoen AArt is an artist-run gallery located in Bangkok’s Bang Kho Laem district, founded by Bryce Watanasoponwong in 2024 within a former family home and office. The space operates as an independent venue that approaches art as a journey shaped by the relationship between the work, the architecture, and the audience. It showcases diverse contemporary practices ranging from painting and photography to conceptual and experimental works.
