Curatorial Ethos
An Emirati-founded ceramics studio in the heart of Abu Dhabi — a working, open-plan space where wheel throwing, hand-building and clay itself are shared with the city, from first-timers to practising potters.
Studio Clay is a ceramics studio and production space in the Al Nahyan area of Abu Dhabi, founded during the pandemic by Emirati artist and entrepreneur Noura Al Dhaheri. It runs wheel-throwing, hand-building and candle workshops, studio memberships for independent potters, private events and children's classes, and supplies clays and glazes to potters across the Emirates and the wider Gulf. The studio is deliberately open-plan, with every stage of the process — from recycling to the kilns — kept visible. Booking is by advance reservation.
