Nabil Helou: Infinite Frequencies
Kalim Bechara Art Gallery presents Infinite Frequencies, a solo exhibition by Nabil Helou, opening on Thursday 8 October at 6 pm. The artist will be present on the opening night only. Nabil Helou's sculptures occupy the threshold where matter begins to suggest something beyond itself. Rooted in an early encounter with nature, organic forms and the vastness of the cosmos, his practice transforms stone into a field of movement, frequency and latent energy. At the heart of his artistic philosophy is what he calls his "Triple H": Heart, Head and Hands, three interconnected forces through which a sculpture comes into being. The Heart responds to passion, emotion and intuition; the Head gives form to imagination and thought; and the Hands translate this inner vision through an intimate dialogue with the resistance, texture and character of each material. Sculpture emerges from this encounter, not imposed upon the stone but revealed through it. Working primarily in marble, Helou explores the dynamic relationship between mass and void, gravity and suspension, stillness and movement. His ongoing exploration of Infinity and Odd Frequency extends the sculptural experience beyond physical form, proposing sculpture as a visible trace of invisible forces and an expression of energies that exist beyond what the eye can immediately perceive. Stone becomes more than material: it becomes vibration made tangible, silence given form, and space charged with presence. Through the transformation of matter, the sculptures invite the viewer to move beyond the physical object and enter a realm where form, energy, imagination and infinity converge. The exhibition is on view until 31 October.
