Wakdjunkaga

About the work

Named after the trickster of Winnebago (Ho-Chunk) mythology, this horizontal portrait shows a face lying sideways, an eye gazing out of warm amber tones while flowing hair dissolves into the ground. The image also serves as the key visual of the exhibition.
