About the work

A small panel from the Upcycling group, made with sand, acrylic, charcoal and pigment on reclaimed wood. These intimate tiles, installed together across the gallery wall, carry barely visible faces at the edge of perception and give discarded material a second life. Shown in The Living Archive at Firetti Contemporary, Dubai, an exhibition proposing that the marks experience leaves on faces, bodies and surfaces are not damage but proof of having been here.
