Pera Museum

The museum aims to diffuse the aesthetic beauty of its collections while creating a dialogue with the public concerning the values and identities they encompass. It utilizes innovative methods including exhibitions, publications, and academic works to transmit the importance of these works to future generations, while also supporting young artists through annual collaborations.

Pera Museum is a private museum founded by the Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation in 2005, located in the historic Tepebaşı quarter of Istanbul. Housed in a renovated 1893 neoclassical building originally designed as the Bristol Hotel, it presents three permanent collections: Orientalist Paintings, Anatolian Weights and Measures, and Kütahya Tiles and Ceramics. The institution operates as a cultural center featuring temporary exhibitions, Pera Film screenings, and extensive educational programs.
