The Viewing Deck

A pause inside the torus

The Viewing Deck is the Museum of the Future's open-air observation point, set on the same level as the "Tomorrow Today" floor and positioned within the building's central void — the open "hole" at the heart of the torus. Visitors step out through the inner shell of the structure to take in the curve of the museum's stainless-steel, calligraphy-clad façade up close, along with views across Sheikh Zayed Road and the surrounding Dubai skyline. Because the deck sits inside the ring rather than on its outer edge, it offers a distinctive vantage point on the architecture itself, where the building's column-free engineering becomes visible through the window-like openings in its form. A favourite spot for photography, the Viewing Deck provides a brief open-air pause within the otherwise fully enclosed "Journey of the Pioneers." Access is included in general admission as part of the standard museum route.
