The museum tells the founding of the UAE from the leaders' own documents and rooms, then sets out what the constitution asks of the people who live here.
Etihad Museum occupies 25,000 square metres on the Jumeirah site where the United Arab Emirates was founded in 1971. Dubai Culture opened it on 2 December 2016 and welcomed the public from 7 January 2017. Interactive pavilions follow the years 1968 to 1974, from the first union talks to the constitution and the rights and duties it gives UAE citizens. A research and publication programme documents the union across the seven emirates, using papers and records from the founding period.
