The UAE's first edutainment centre — where a child can walk inside a giant human mouth, sit in a gyroscope chair, and watch NASA data projected onto a globe, all in one afternoon.
The UAE's first dedicated edutainment centre for children, opened by Dubai Municipality inside Creek Park. Designed for ages 2–15, the facility spans multiple themed galleries — Space Exploration, Nature Centre, Human Body, Planetarium, Earth Sciences Gallery (developed in cooperation with the US Climate Institute and NOAA), International Culture, Local Heritage, Forscherwelt science lab and a Toddlers' Area. The Planetarium has a capacity of 100 guests and presents astronomy and laser shows. The Earth Sciences Gallery displays NASA and NOAA data and is the first of its kind in the Middle East. Daily educational workshops and performances run year-round in galleries and purpose-built halls.

Children's City sits inside Creek Park between the Dubai Creek and the Oud Metha metro station — not somewhere most tourists end up, which is precisely why it deserves a mention. Dubai Municipality built it as the UAE's first dedicated edutainment centre, and it has been doing what it set out to do since it opened: giving children somewhere to spend three hours learning things without noticing they are learning things. The exhibits are genuinely varied. The Space Exploration gallery has an Apollo spacecraft replica, spacesuite gloves and a gyroscope chair. The Human Body exhibit has an enormous walk-through mouth — which is exactly as strange and delightful as it sounds. The Earth Sciences Gallery was developed with NOAA and the US Climate Institute and shows NASA imagery on a sphere in a way that has no obvious equivalent in the region. The Planetarium seats 100 and runs astronomy and laser shows throughout the day. The Forscherwelt science lab is open only to ages 8–11, which gives older children something specifically designed for them.
