Healing before modern medicine
A house presenting the medicines, cosmetics, treatments and herbal remedies Emiratis relied on before modern healthcare — from purifying incense treatments to remedies sourced from the local environment — structured around clear, accessible explanations of science, history and human nature. Its three courtyards are planted with flora named in the Quran, particularly plants connected to healing and cures with specific reference to the UAE, so the building's own gardens become part of the exhibition. It is the house that most directly links deep knowledge of the land to the practice of keeping a community well.
