Life on Land: Trade & Journey
Routes, caravans and the knowledge of the desert
The closing house of the wave, on the inland trade routes and journeys that connected communities and moved goods across the land. It covers the cultural knowledge that movement demanded — navigating by the stars, and managing a camel caravan across open desert — skills that turned a hostile landscape into a network of exchange. Completing the land narrative, it mirrors the maritime trade of the Culture of the Sea pavilion, showing that Dubai's prosperity was built on movement and exchange across the desert as well as across the water.
