Alberi libro (Book Trees) is a sculptural work by Giuseppe Penone from 2017, shown in the Baraha and Old Palace of the National Museum of Qatar as part of The Inner Flow of Life. It belongs to the artist’s lasting investigation of the synergy between organic and artistic processes, and of the poetic relationship between humans and the natural world. The image shows the work in its installation at Serpentine South in London, alongside Respirare l’ombra (To Breathe the Shadow), 2000.
