Hamad Port Visitors Centre & Aquarium

The centre turns port life into hands-on learning: pearl-diving history upstairs, reef fish below, with room for families to stay all day at Umm Al Houl.

Hamad Port Visitors Centre opened in 2022 at Umm Al Houl to showcase Qatar's maritime history and port operations. The complex combines a maritime museum with interactive games, a 4D cinema, a 200-seat auditorium and Qatar's first ocean-themed aquarium, with seventeen basins holding more than 3,000 creatures across eighty species including zebra sharks, stingrays and clownfish. Visitors can touch starfish in the touch tank, explore mangrove ecosystems and let children play in the outdoor playground. A gift shop and café complete the visit beside the country's main seaport.
