Group exhibition of the Tasweer Residency
The culminating group exhibition of the Tasweer Residency: As the Image Unfolds — The Language of Athar, a five-month residency by Qatar Museums' Tasweer Creative Hub based at Tasweer Studios in Bayt Al Wakrah. Taking athar — an Arabic word meaning traces and imprints — as both method and metaphor, residents Mohammed Fakhroo, Ghada Al Mawlawi and Raja Aderdor explore photography as both record and reimagining, developing new projects through mentorship from Khalifa Al Obaidly, Ghayyan Al Amine and Maria Ovsyannikova, critical exchange and community engagement. The exhibition is accompanied by an online zine documenting the residents' processes.
