About

deCentral’s curatorial ethos challenges conventional art boundaries by encouraging transdisciplinary engagement, experimental approaches, and critical responses to contemporary social realities. The program focuses on developing forward-thinking exhibitions, commissions, and educational initiatives that refine Thai artistic practices through dialogue with both local contexts and international experts. By investing in a sustainable cultural ecology, the platform supports emerging and established creators across diverse disciplines.

deCentral is a contemporary art initiative and social enterprise founded by Central Group, located at 296 Soi Phanit Anan (Pridi Banomyong 42) in Bangkok. Scheduled to open its physical space in 2027, the venue operates as a multidisciplinary cultural hub dedicated to nurturing Thai artistic practices and fostering cross-industry collaborations. It presents exhibitions, artistic commissions, learning programs, and public dialogues while reinvesting all profits back into its programming and site maintenance.
