Ankara Etnografya Müzesi

The museum's programme focuses on preserving intangible national values and historical accumulation by exhibiting wooden art works, calligraphy, textiles, rugs, ceramics, and military items. It serves as a primary repository for understanding the aesthetic and functional traditions of Anatolian civilizations through its curated galleries of decorative arts and religious artifacts.

The Museum of Ethnography in Ankara is a national museum established by the Government of the Republic of Türkiye to research and consolidate national identity through material history. Constructed between 1925 and 1926 under architect Arif Hikmet Koyunoğlu, it officially opened to the public in 1930 after serving as the temporary resting place for Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. The institution houses nine permanent exhibition halls dedicated to Turkish cultural heritage, including artifacts from the Seljuk and Ottoman periods.
