About this district
Eskişehir Yolu is the axis Ankara grew along as it spread southwest — a long corridor of business towers, plazas, planned residential districts and cultural venues running out from the centre toward the ring road. Balgat, Çukurambar, Çayyolu, İncek: the newer, spacious, car-scaled Ankara, built over recent decades for a growing professional and diplomatic population. The art here belongs to that landscape — commercial galleries and corporate exhibition spaces along the corridor, serving the communities around them. This is the contemporary, expanding edge of the capital, where the city's cultural life reaches into its newest neighbourhoods.
