Hélène Fauquet
Artist
Biography
Hélène Fauquet is an artist whose work moves between ornamental forms and a conceptual dimension bordering on Surrealism, exploring decoration and art, nature and artifice, history and the present. Her practice focuses on the residues of photography and the movement of images: in her sculptures, photographs are obscured by shells and set in extravagant frames, and since 2023 she has worked with the motif of the bubble, drawn from advertising, scientific photography and domestic trinkets. She has had solo exhibitions at venues including Kunsthaus Glarus (2023), Kunstverein Nürnberg (2019), Édouard Montassut, Paris, Galerie Meyer Kainer, Vienna, Galerie Max Mayer, Düsseldorf, and Rodeo, London. Vivresse at Lafayette Anticipations (2026–27) is her first institutional exhibition in France.
