Biography
Anju Dodiya (b. 1964, Mumbai) is an Indian painter who studied at the Sir J.J. School of Art. Working in watercolour, charcoal and pastel on paper and fabric, she creates introspective, often self-referential figurative compositions that draw on Japanese ukiyo-e, Italian Renaissance painting and Indian miniatures to stage inner conflict, solitude and the drama of the self.
